We provided the planning, design, permitting and construction administration services for the upgrade and expansion of this wastewater treatment facility. This was done to meet more stringent effluent limits and to accommodate increased flows from infiltration during rainfall events. The project included the relocation of the outfall pipe to the Wanaque River. We successfully obtained favorable funding for the project through the N.J. Environmental Infrastructure Funding Program (now known as N.J. Water Bank) including low and zero interest loans, and one of the first American Recovery and Redevelopment Act (ARRA) grant awards in New Jersey, which essentially reduced the project cost to the client by over 50%.
