Stormwater management is critical at the Sussex County Solid Waste Facility. It helps protect the surrounding surface and groundwater from contamination. Stormwater runoff from closed landfill cells, as well as from other portions of the site need to be controlled, managed and tested for potential contaminants prior to discharge. Our firm was retained to provide the design and implementation of the majority of the system, including the drainage structures, conveyance piping and stormwater detention basin.
