The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act provided much needed funding for the replacement of lead water services. CP has been engaged by New Jersey American Water to provide construction services for a major lead service line replacement project, funded by the Act through the N.J. Infrastructure Bank. The project includes the identification and replacement of lead and galvanized service lines complete from the main to the meter inside customer locations. Successful completion of this work will require a team effort and an effective public outreach. Current LSL replacements have completed approximately 7,800 property inspections and 4,100 replacements.
