NJDEP required Andover Utility Company to make upgrades to meet water regulations; which meant implementing water system improvements. Our firm conducted an analysis of the system and designed an emergency interconnection between their two water systems. The improvements allowed for operation of the entire system in the event of a failure at either of the supply wells. Additional improvements included piping and valve changes to enable isolation, inspection and maintenance of the hydro pneumatic tanks, and to improve the chlorine contact time in the system.
