Wastewater Treatment Plant

CP Engineers has recently begun work for the RLSA as part of new contract to provide engineering services regarding various wastewater treatment plant improvements and assistance in providing i-bank funding,

The upgrades include installation of a new influent pump station with screenings; a grit removal facility; removal of the existing splitter box and construction of an anaerobic selector; removal of one of the existing Oxidation Ditches and installation of a new oxidation ditch with a revised mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) pumping configuration; modifications to the sludge pumping and dewatering systems to allow interconnection and service to both final clarifiers; improvements to the chemical feed systems to provide enhanced containment and reliable chemical distribution; and modifications to the ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system and effluent metering.

Formed in 1976, the RLSA manages wastewater for Readington Township, Lebanon Borough and the Round Valley Recreation Area in New Jersey. It operates a 1.2 MGD treatment plant in Whitehouse, NJ, which serves the local residents and businesses. After project completion, the plant will allow it to be designed for a new permitted flow of 1.45 MGD.
