Our firm was appointed by the Borough of Mount Arlington to develop an asset management plan for its water utility, in accordance with the requirements of the Water Quality Accountability Act. We cataloged all of the water system assets (approximately 1,500 individual features) using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. This information was fed into the asset management software package along with component data, maintenance history, and other relevant information. The software was used to analyze the data, develop maintenance and budget plans, and assemble the asset management report data for compliance with the Act.
