CP Engineers is proud to announce the recent award of two significant contracts at the Verona Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), a facility with a rich history dating back to its original construction in 1928 and major upgrades in 1967 and 1988. The plant, permitted for 3 million gallons per day and discharging into the FW2-NT-classified Peckman River, is a vital part of the community’s infrastructure.
Project Scope
The new projects focus on the replacement of critical treatment units at the Verona WWTP.

What’s Happening?
CP Engineers will be at the helm for the design, bidding, and construction administration of two critical systems:
Protecting Today, Preparing for Tomorrow
Both systems are vital for permit compliance and are nearing the end of their service lives. To keep the plant running smoothly during this transition, our team is helping the Township of Verona implement smart interim solutions. One key step: permitting and installing a Peracetic Acid (PAA) feed system to provide supplemental disinfection and peace of mind.
Innovation and Investment
These projects are made possible through the NJ Water Bank Financing Program, with CP Engineers managing the application and guiding the process every step of the way. We’re committed to delivering innovative solutions, sustainable results, and a seamless upgrade experience for our partners.
What’s Next?
Get ready – project bidding is expected to kick off in early 2026. We’re excited to help write the next chapter for Verona WWTP and continue our tradition of engineering excellence and community stewardship.
