The project included installing new chilled water chiller and boiler systems to support the 150,000 sq ft facility, medical clients manufacturing process for placental-derived cell therapy products. This project included creating as-built documentation detailing the systems’ design and specifications, along with a detailed sequence of operation for facility maintenance staff. This upgrade improved the overall environment in the GMP-compliant facility and boosted the efficiency of manufacturing operations.
Pharmaceutical client needed project management for 100,000 sq ft Formulation Lab and Experimentation Center overseeing clean room installation, modular clean rooms, GMP manufacturing suites, open lab spaces equipped with mobile workstations design to enable integrated workflows. Pharmaceutical client retained our firm to scope out and design the renovation of 5,000 square foot laboratory support and storage space into a glassware washroom, breakroom, toilet rooms and stability chambers storage room. This space is part of a 33,000 square foot laboratory, offices, R&D and pilot production facility. The project needed to be implemented within an active facility. The project approach was design-build with our firm acting as the construction manager. The design services included architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection.
Pharmaceutical client retained our firm to scope out and design a lab waste chemical storage facility. Within their 20,000 square feet laboratory, offices, R&D and pilot production facility client needed to consolidate their chemical waste storage into a dedicated space or building. The scope of the engineering services included the evaluation of options. From cost and constructability considerations, a prefabricated 500 square feet, dual compartment (flammables & corrosives) enclosure located outside of the building was selected.
