Water Line Extension
C&P prepared contract plans and specifications for an extension of the Township of Sparta water distribution system. This extension provided potable water and fire protection to the Pope John XXIII High School High School facility and allowed the existing problematic well water supply system to be abandoned. We also provided resident engineering services during construction of this project.
Water System Management
C&P provides professional design, construction management, permitting, and general consulting services to the West Milford Township Municipal Utilities Authority, which owns and operates 8 community water supply systems, on a continuing basis. Specific services we provide include:
Management and coordination of aquifer testing.
Preparation of permit applications for new and potable water supply, treatment, and distribution facilities, and modifications to such existing facilities.
Preparation of Water Allocation Permit submissions.
Preparation of Consumer Confidence Reports.
Birch Hill Park Water
System
This project required C&P to identify and develop a new groundwater supply source for the existing residential development and planned future Senior Housing Development. C&P provided Project Management and coordination of the aquifer testing required to demonstrate the "firm capacity" needed.
Once the "firm capacity" of this groundwater supply was confirmed, C&P prepared contract plans and specifications for development of a new 60 gpm production well and backup well, and all mechanical and electrical modifications and upgrades required for the existing Well House. These modifications included: new chlorine contact piping, conversion from chlorine gas to sodium hypochlorite disinfection, conversion to a 480 volt electrical service, installation of new instrumentation and controls, and a new emergency generator.
C&P provided bidding and construction management services for this project, and preparation and submission of a Water Allocation Permit Modification.
Highview Water Tower Rehabilitation
C&P prepared contract plans and specifications for the rehabilitation of the 200,000 gallon Highview Water Storage Tank. Work included repainting and addition of cathodic protection. C&P provided resident engineering and inspection services during construction.
Highview / Olde Milford Water
Systems Interconnect
C&P prepared contract plans and specifications for the interconnection of two public community water systems, including the addition of a new duplex booster pump station. These improvements allow water to be transmitted from storage to areas with higher demand to maximize water supply/usage throughout the system. We provided complete services, including design, procurement services, and construction management.

C&P provided process control engineering services including electrical and mechanical design for monitoring and controlling the No. 2 Well House pH adjustment equipment.
Greenbrook Water System Extension
C&P provided design and construction management services for the 8-inch water main extension of the existing Greenbrook water system to serve the A&P shopping center expansion.
Water Treatment System
C&P provided consulting engineering services to Alpha Borough through the Borough Engineer on the operations of the Borough’s water system. The water system supplies approximately 300,000 gallons per day to customers in the Borough. The system includes three (3) production wells, two (2) storage tanks, and a treatment system for hardness removal. C&P has provided services toward optimizing the operations of the water softening system and managing the disposal of regeneration and backwash wastewater from the treatment system.

C&P has provided technical and operations assistance for the Montclair State University School of Conservation public non-community water system, including Safe Drinking Water compliance and County Health Department coordination regarding system disinfection and facility improvements.
